Locking and Sending Estimates
Before an estimate can be sent, it must first be locked, ensuring that the details are finalized and cannot be altered once shared. Authorized users can follow a straightforward process to lock the estimate and then proceed to send it via email or SMS. The process includes verifying the estimate details, locking the document, and using the sending options to ensure clients receive a clear and confirmed breakdown of proposed services or products. This ensures that both you and the client have a consistent, finalized reference for the estimate.
Prerequisites: Authorised Users.
Instructions
- From the Estimate page, click the Estimate Actions button in the top right of the page.
- Click Lock Estimate. You will see a popup requesting you to confirm.
(Note: Now the estimate is locked, you may proceed to send the estimate to the client.) - Once again, click the Estimate Actions button in the top right of the page. You will now see a new option to Send Estimate.
- Click Send Estimate to see the Send Estimate popup.
- Ensure the details are correct and click the Email Now and/or SMS Now to send the estimate. You will then see confirmation it has been sent successfully.
