Setup PhoneLink

 

Setting up PhoneLink ensures seamless integration of telecommunication services within the Suprata platform. This process allows businesses to streamline communication by enabling features such as call management, SMS functionality, and 911 emergency services. The setup is user-friendly, guiding users through porting an existing phone number or setting up a new one while ensuring compliance with legal and operational requirements. PhoneLink’s robust features enhance professionalism and simplify communication for your team and customers.

Prerequisites: Account owners and those with administrator access.

 

 

Instructions

 

 

  1. From the main Dashboard, click the Administration tab.





  2. You will enter the Administration Dashboard.





  3. Click on Communication Settings.





  4. Click Setup PhoneLink from the expanded Communication Settings tab to enter the Enroll page.





  5. Click the blue Begin PhoneLink Account Setup button to enter the Admin Settings (PhoneLink Enrollment) page.





  6. Fill in the fields as required:

    Are you porting a phone number into PhoneLink? (Required): This field asks whether you wish to transfer an existing phone number into the PhoneLink system. If "Yes," additional follow-up steps will be provided for porting the number.

    10-Digit Phone Number to Port: If you choose to port an existing number, this field is where you input the phone number to be transferred. If not porting, leave this field blank.

    Desired Area Code: If you are not porting a number, you can specify the desired area code for a new number. This allows you to choose a number based on a specific geographic area.

    What type of endpoint are you planning for your phone number? (Required): Here, you select the type of device or system that will receive calls from the PhoneLink number. Options may include forwarding to a landline, cell phone, SIP device, or other endpoints.

    What are the phone number(s) or SIP address(es) of your endpoint?: This optional field allows you to provide the phone number or SIP address that will be used as the endpoint for your PhoneLink number. If you are unsure, leave this blank, and the support team will guide you.

    911 Emergency Address Contact Name or Business Name: This field is for entering the name or business name associated with the emergency address. It ensures accurate identification during emergency calls.

    911 Emergency Address 1 (Required): The primary line of the physical address to be registered for 911 emergency services. This is required by law for accurate geolocation in emergencies.

    911 Emergency Address 2: An optional field for additional address details, such as an apartment number or suite.

    911 Emergency Address City (Required): The city corresponding to the 911 emergency address.

    911 Emergency Address State (Required): The state or region for the 911 emergency address.

    911 Emergency Address Zip (Required): The postal/ZIP code for the 911 emergency address. This ensures accurate regional mapping.

    Your Digital Signature (Required): This field is where you provide your electronic signature, confirming the accuracy of the information provided. By signing, you acknowledge that the details will be shared with local telecom providers and authorities, as required by law. You also accept that incorrect information could result in service suspension.



  7. Once complete, click Save Changes.



  8. You will now see a blue banner on the Enroll page informing you “PhoneLink Setup Pending”
